Another problem to fix....

2014 twin air centre propshaft bearing has gone.

Looking on here some people mention the propshaft is the same from the previous model.

Can anyone confirm if it will fit. It seems a large age range for the same part.

So far as I can tell, they are all the same. But oddly the same part has had three part numbers over time. It seems all three numbers describe the same part and are interchangeable.

I spot that Shop4Parts now list the bearing as a replacement part, which adds to the belief the shaft can be spilt and the bearing replaced. Someone here recently said they’d done that… I suspect though this is best done with a hydraulic ‘device’ of some sort to pull the two sections apart.

Yes, I read that one. It was a useful thread.

I'll give some garages a call tomorrow and order the whole propshaft, if I can find someone willing to fit a part I supply.

The video makes it look quite easy to do, so I'm tempted to try myself . However , they often make things look simple and they turn out to be a nightmare job e.g. Sheared bolt heads .I
