Not silly at all. Amphibious cars are the way forward with the English weather how it's been recently.

You'd need a separate power source. The boot floor is flat enough but the standard engine doesn't rev' high enough and the surface resistance (bow wave) would be too much for impeller drive.

I gave my Seagull engine away to Dragon Man a couple of weeks ago! :bang:

heh you should see the 3 part video of me trying to get it running.. the most interesting one is the last one.

heh it was not running as good as it should.. i was running it on a really rich mixture of oil and fuel almost 50 - 50

yeah we have a river, but i do not know what the rules and regs are with having a petrol engine on a boat.

i managed to get in contact with the people that do spare parts for the engine and they told me that it is a 1950's "long shaft" model.

would like to get something to try it on.. Talon should do.. he's got that much wax and oil in the sills.. lmao

Anyway, back on topic .

I took Bucket to SPL today, 8 hours and 320 miles round trip! To be done three more times! I'm glad Oslo still has the Alfa seats fitted.

Well you don't do that sort of trip without a loo stop........



Once I arrived Bucket was quickly removed from the trailer and put onto a pallet, then forklifted around to the storage compound.



I took a few pics of what else was there......





Inside another warehouse there was a Sunbeam Rapier that had been dipped a couple of days ago. With it were two other cars of interest, one back for E-coating, and one that had already been E-coated. Can you tell what they are?







Here is one of the buildings where it all happens......



A Range Rover had just been taken out of the acid bath and was being jetwashed with fresh water.



It's a very industrial place becuase cars are only a small percentage of thier work. It's home for Bucket now though, at least for the next four weeks.

Well done Dave, yes it is

Doors, tailgate and bonnet were strapped inside and get dipped separately, although I have supplied a better bonnet and one door will be new.
