Hello. I crashed my beloved Punto Evo. Now the car is already repaired, but there is a problem with the airbags that's bugging me for quite some time.

Basically, when I crashed, the following airbags deployed:
-Driver
-Passenger
-Driver Pretensioner
-Passenger Pretensioner

So, I replaced all damaged Items and also the Airbag ECU (that obviously had crashed data stored in memory).

The problem is that the replacement ECU I bought also shows some DTCs, though no crash data, so I can't return it from where I bought it.

It seems to me the replacement ECU is from a car without Curtain Airbags, is there a way to reprogram it to my car? Or even clear the crash data from the original ECU?

Externally, both ECUs look the same, have the same pins and also the same color in the socket.

The DTCs in the OLD unit are:
- B0103 - 1st level, drivers airbag resistance (intermittent)
- U1703 - Communication with Instrument panel (NQS) (intermittent)
- B0123 - Driver's abdominal pretensioner, resistance (Present)
- BO124 - Passenger's abdominal pretensioner, resistance (Present)
- B0104 - 1st level passenger airbag resistance (Intermittent)
- B0105 - 2nd level passenger airbag resistance (Intermittent)
- B0106 - Driver's pretensioner resistance (Intermittent)
- B0107 - Passenger pretensioner resistance (Intermittent)
- B0120 - Airbag and pretensioner impact data (Intermittent)

The DTCs in the NEW unit are:
- B0114 - Curtain airbag, explosive charge left side (Present)
- B0115 - Curtain airbag, explosive charge right side (Present)
- B0118 - Incorrect configuration (Present)
- B0112 - Side impact sensor, right (Present)
- B0111 - Side impact sensor, left (Present)
- B0123 - Driver's abdominal pretensioner, resistance (Present)
- BO124 - Passenger's abdominal pretensioner, resistance (Present)

Of all these DTCs, the one that's bugging me the most is B0118 - Incorrect configuration. Is there a way to correctly configure this ECU for my car? The other items that show DTCs with the new ECU have been thoroughly inspected and even replacing them with a new bag does not turn the error into an intermittent one.

Basically, that is my problem. Could anyone help me figure this out? Can I reprogram one of my ECUs? I fear buying another one and it still not working.

Thanks in advance for any help.
