Technical Power steering

Hi I have a 1.4 sport 2008 fiat 500 I keeping getting warning lights for my ESP and Hill holder, the main reason for my question is my power steering lights to be on and off. This pump has been replaced already so it’s making me think it’s a wiring issue. When leaving my house and having to reverse off a kerb it triggers the power steering and I loose all control however if I go down the drop kerb it doesn’t happen? Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Do you have Cruise Control..?

This can be from the Clutch.. Or Brake switch

First thing check the battery and the alternator.

...and the earth cables and earthing points.

By far the most common cause of power steering issues is an inability for the motor to draw sufficient power from the battery to operate properly.

Always a good idea to go for the most expensive none diagnosed fix first......

could be deteriorated wiring in the hatch back if the insulations cracked , or missing?- bumping down the kerb could make bare wires touch and send the can-bus system screwy sending the wrong or corrupted messages to the controllers!.

those only affect the hill holder, not power steering IMHO
