Hi, So i got my car back from the garage yesterday with a nice new MOT.

Mech then says that i need to get new pipes for the power steering "the pipes that come accross the top of the gearbox and leads to the front of the radiator" one has a crack and a leak..

Car was on the drive for no more than 10 mins and i had a 2ft x 3ft puddle of fluid under the car.

New pipes from Fiat are £90+ so im off to the scrappy to get some...

Can anyone advise me on how to bleed the system after i have fitted them...

Fill new oil in till the max mark, then start the car and move the steering wheel full left to full right looking that the oil don't drop under min. Do that 20-30 times and thats it.

Can always count on Sven... thanks pal

I'm guessing there is no Bleed valve like the brakes have.

Seems to simple to be true, is it a system that returns fluid to the well.

Just like that, a closed no valve system.
You can if you will loosen one hose time after time till oil starts to pour out then close it and then do the procedure I said before, it can be quicker that way due to thickness of the oil. That is if you wont.

yer as sven said, once fluid is full, just turn the steering wheel full turns, from right to left a few times, you will notice the fluid gone down (as it goes through the pipes etc) so will have to top it back up to once done...jobs a good un :)
