I bought my son a Fiat Panda Active 2005 1100 last week end. He needs a power point for SAT NAV. Can anyone please tell me where the blue wire on the 3 way connector in the center console goes, as there is no supply at this point.
Fuse 44 in the engine bay fusebox, only has one side of the contacts installed, but this has no continuity to the blue wire in the center console.

Nope can't be done without a lot of rewiring.

The accessory socket is connected to relay 6, fuse 44, fuse 23, ignition switch fuse 32, a short circuit jumper and body computer. There's about 15 wires the 30 connections and I have no idea which or how many are missing.

Some of the wires also deal with reversing light and braking system. The chances of it going wrong is quite high unless your an auto electrician

It fairly easy to bypass this complexity if it's okay being live all the time. Look at the thread a few days ago which has a link to a neat installation.

OK thanks for your help, I have run a link lead to the radio permanent supply. This is covered by a 10 amp fuse, so power socket can only be used for SAT NAV etc.

I would be highly inclined to fit an after market socket inside the glove box and notch the door slightly to allow cables out as there is tons of room on the right side of the glovebox, its close to the bulkhead if you want to run a fused line straight from the Battery or fusebox and if you are charging your phone its out of sight.

Had the same when I got my Active Eco, no socket! What I did was buy the genuine socket, drilled a hole and added an on/off switch in the new socket housing, then just ran a (fused) wire from the battery straight to it (you can find a rubber grommet to run your wires through the bulkhead under the brake booster).

Take a power wire through with a gear shifter cable. A bicycle spoke bent double at the threaded end will pull the wire through like a bodkin. Then use a piggy back fuse from suitable switched fuse to power the new wire. Return is an earth tag bolted somewhere convenient.

This looks suitable - just check it's the correct fuse type.

If you want a proper electrician's tool, this is £10

Or just use a wiper blade metal insert - everyone has some old wipers kicking about!
