Power cable into the car (With a difference!)

Can you have a look at the thread I've linked to.

The guy wants to power a heater in his car (head on and you'll understand!!) and I suggested getting the power cable through to the car in the same place as you would for the power cable for an amp, but I couldn't explain it very well!!

You ICE boys will do it better than me, so have a look!!

My prefered option would to be to install an alarm with a timed start function, set it to start 20 min before you want to use the car, set the heater to hot before you leave it at night, the car will start at what ever time, and will be nice and toasty by the time you want to use it... plus you have the added bonus that the car is still locked...

You have to remember to leave it outside though, so you don't gas your self by leaving in a garage. Oh, and remember not to leave the car in gear!
