Drinu, your Uno is one of the best I've seen around! (y) Keep it up!

PS. I absolutely love that colour!

PPS. Do you know of other people who are into modding Unos here on the island? There used to be a chap who would go by the username of killfr0g on these fora who was keen on modding his car. Other than him I don't know of anybody.

malta is a sweet place man! i used to go there when i was younger, used to have to run to the beach cos my feet wud burn on the paths :D lol

Ah! I know the feeling! Burnt my feet many a time running barefoot in Summer hehe. Will be looking forward to see some good pics of your baby :)

That Uno looks sweet Chris! I particularly love those seats - I want some nice ones like those in my Uno.

I still think that Chris used to have one of the nicest, most subtle, understated but tastefully modified mk2 Unos I've ever seen. And that interior was to die for!

Rodmallia, from what I remember Chris' interior was custom made by his father (I think) in leather using the original Uno seat frames. I'd be happy to have those seats in my mk1 (y)

I agree with you 1986Uno45S - Chris' Uno does make a statement in its simplicity. I'm going to try and see if there are any more threads on that Uno - I need pictures and ideas on how to mod my little 'un.

Thanks for the info regarding the leathers seats - they really look gorgeous in that car. They would be a tad expensive for me to have them done so I guess I'll have to sit my bum on the original covers instead (at least for the time being).

a few pictures of my old uno, I paid 20 quid for it and 60 quid for a recovery truck to bring it to me, was stored in a garage for 3 years, it ran and drove and had a good engine but unfortunatly the shell was rotten beyond repair. would have been good for a re-shell but i sold it in the end for 100 quid as i needed the money for my E reg MK1

Argh! :bang: :bang: :bang:

That's just the sort of bargain I would love to find Oldskool! Heck, I bet it would go for a lot more than £100 nowdays too.

If anyone has a complete but rotten Uno turbo lurking around for £100 then you know where I am ;)

i doubt it would go for more than a tonne, it was less than a year ago when i bought it, if your serious about making yours into a turbo then why does it still look like a 45? get some turbo skirts, arches, front bumper, grill, lower it and some alloys ready for a turbo lump?

I've got a set of MK1 turbo alloys with tyres if you want them for a small price.

Thanks for the kind words Chas and Rodmallia! Just those comments alone made modifing the Uno worth while! (y)

You are indeed correct about the interior Chas - my father re-trimmed it in his spare time with some off-cuts of leather he had lying around.

Rodmallia, many years ago i made a little fan site devoted to the car, i'm sure it's still online somewhere... edit: www.uno.ne1.net

I still miss that car y'know :(

This is how my uno looks like just now (y)

A little work, and it is on the road again with no rust hopfully :yum:
