Technical possible injector problem?

hi.
i brought a 1.1 p reg punto the other day. had clutch problem. a new pressure plate and bearing sorted it out. however since doing this work on test drive engine gets quite a annoying metal rattle noise from by carb about 2k revs (dont exactly know as no rev counter) also injector light keeps coming on now and again. car also acts like running out of fuel and during trying to stay at a constant speed it wants to kangaroo.
now writing this all down sounds def like a injector problem (single point injection) but im not convinced. would like a few thoughts before i rush out to buy one.
i dont know alot about these cars. is there any common problems along these lines?

Might want the fuel filter changeing

The "injector light" just signifies that the ECU has picked up a reading it regards as flakey. I'd try a new fuel filter before anything else. They're about a tenner.

The injector light coming on can also be caused by a problem with the coil packs.
