Hello,

Does my Panda Pop 1.2 (2015) that doesn't have air conditioning, have a pollen filter by any chance? I am trying to get the housing off, but there are so many bolts and screws.

I looked online and says you can get pollen filters designed for cars with AC but on others doesn't mention AC.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

So as I don't have AC, there will be no pollen filter anywhere on my model?
There isn't any in those photos you put. I don't know about the rest. There could be one, or there couldn't. Usually they didn't put polen filters on non-AC cars but everything changes, you don't know what's normal anymore.
I'll look for a picture with the polen filter housing on mine, to show you what to look for.

They don't sit there.
This is mine. Filter is up, after the cover held by the two little screws.

I don't have air conditioning though, so don't think I actually have a cabin filter? I do not know.

I went on a car website for parts, and there are two variants for my registration. One with air conditioning and the other didn't mention AC.

This one is from a non AC car, where filter should be if there was any.

Where is that on the car?

They’re in the same place on RHD cars which means the clutch pedal and steering column are in the way. It is doable without removing them (I have a feeling the official method is to disconnect the steering column) but it’s a proper fiddle. There are existing threads on here showing how it is done.

Look up in the footwell and you can see where it sits. Shine a torch in and it should be evident if there is a filter in there or not.

correct - no air con = no pollen filter.

The filter is only put in when air con is fitted, because pollen and other dust can form mould in the condensation on the a/c ‘chiller’ unit. No chiller = no condensation = no need a pollen filter, (and no where to fit it either)

You can’t tell from that picture. The parts for the structure of the dash, centre console etc will be the same either way just with no filter behind that removable piece in cars without a/c. As Hertshillhopper explained, with no a/c there’s no filter as there is no need.

I am definitely certain. This is my dashboard....

Also the panel is missing one screw. Know what screw I need to replace it? It's a 5.5 Hex bolt I think..

If you press this (fan) switch in and the LED lights up yellow you have aircon (put air temperature rotary to cold).

Other clues (under the bonnet) include a condenser in front of the radiator and hoses to from AC compressor.

You maybe confusing basic air con with climate control where you will have digital temperature setting.

Push the switch in? And put which air rotary to cold?

Yes; the fan switch which has a rotary action to control the fan speed but if you push it in it turns on the a/c if the fan is on. Turn the hot/cold switch to cold as I believe the a/c will not turn on if the heater is on, unless you go to full demist when a/c helps clear condensed water on the inside of the screen.

Do you have the drivers manual? You can download it from the FIAT website.
