I have a PC that got loads of unused space on the C: drive and was thinking of installing Ubuntu (a version of linux) as I may need it for University but I still want me XP on there.
Question 1 is: Is Ubuntu any good, I hear people saying its such a great OS but don't know what to believe as so many people are 100% windows orientated and don't seem to see past it to OS's like Linux.
Question 2 is: How do I go about partitioning my disk and installing Ubuntu on it. (I know this is possible as a start-up menu will appear on boot-up so I can choose which OS i want to use for that session)
Question 3 is:How much space do I need to partition off for Ubuntu to run smoothly (I've heard its quite small)
Has anybody ever run dual operating systems and had any issues?
Any help and advice would be great thanks guys
