Hello

I have a Pioneer MP3/CD headunit in my Fiat Stilo. Today I was driving along and there was a quiet 'pop' noise and the HU went off. However I turned it back on fine but its lost all the radio stations I put in and reverted the audio (BASS, MID, TREB etc) back to default settings. It can't be a blown fuse and I'm guessing it can't be a battery problem as all my TRIP figures haven't been affected, no error messages etc.

Could this be a wiring problem or possibly a faulty HU? although I've only had it since last July!

Thanks

Phil

sounds like a poor connection somewhere
As its got hot - its disconnected

A few seconds to cool and its fine again

Do you mean that the possible loose connection could have got hot? Because the HU itself wasn't hot at all, infact it hadn't been on long.

was the pop from the speakers or pop from behind the stereo?

I'm pretty sure it came from the speakers.

Thanks

Phil
