When I reboot my router and modem, my PC reboots automatically aswell.
Any ideas why and how I can stop this?

The error message after the reboot says that its a driver issue, but I dont remember installing any for the modem/router

long shot
got to bios and check that turn on lan is not selected

a better shot
reinstall lan driver
start and pausebreak
device manager check for problems

and if you want to carry on disable the device and restart it if that dont work uninstall it and restart windows

Cheers, I am going to have a look.

This could be due to your LAN card, and it's power management capabilities.
If you go to device manager and turn them all off, you should find that the problem goes away. You might be able to turn off "Wake on LAN" and "Sleep on LAN" off in the PC's Bios as well.
Failing that, if it's an onboard (built into the motherboard) NIC, disable it in BIOS and install a seperate card.... onboard cards can and often do cause problems.

Just checked the BIOS, nothing is on.

It is an onboard NIC, Im not sure where to get the LAN driver, will have to have a hunt. If worse comes to worse, any recomendations on an NIC card?

Go into control panel, network connections, right click the LAN connection and goto properties.

Then on the first page it says something like "connect using" and to the right 'configure' - click it

go to the 'advanced' tab and have a look for 'power saving' or 'wake up' details. Make sure they're both off.

There was a tick in the box in the powesave section, have now taken it out.
Fingers crossed this works.
