Got a bog standard 1.2 2007 Panda, got way too much movement I'm the rack which will necessitate a replacement rack.

Can anyone confirm whether or not a similar aged Fiat 500 rack will be the same or not?

Got a mate that bought one for a Fiat 500 and it ended up being a damaged hub so he has a rack surplus to requirements.

That will show how many varieties fitted 😉
 
Part numbers do not match

I suspect its to do with different track widths of 47mm

1366 vs 1413


Panda should have one of these numbers on it

Are you 100% the play is in the rack

There been several problems with the column joints such as this

And we see a few MOT failures and advisories for the inner tie rod end

Definitely the rack sadly, the movement is coming from the arm in the rack, not the rack end the track rod connects to.

That's a shame about the 500 being different, prices even second hand seem extreme!
