Qing is all kinda working...bit worried it is burning fuel a bit fast (odd carburettor problem at the moment!) and a lumpy idle but think it'll get up there ok  I'm packing a load of parts tools etc just in case... I've sort of lost faith in the old girl since her head gasket went (n)

Anyway..so who's going up for the Sunday? That's when I'll be there

Looking forward to the adventure though, good practice for any future off roading extravaganzas! :slayer:

Safe journeys to you all!

Si

Excellent I'll look forward to meeting you Sy, if we have a problem don't worry as I have an old Panda we can rob for bits to get you home if needs be!

All that are here on Saturday will be coming on the sunday so it will be good do - RetroPanda has just informed me that him and doctyler are joining us on the sunday in their CLX to join CLS in the 2wd class :D

On an unfortunate note though it has been absolutely siling it down here all day and if we have much more we may have to miss out the double stream crossing as it will be a raging torrent. Although Pandas float very well it's not really what were are going out to acomplish

Great stuff we will have 7 of us and possibly two more Landrovers of my lot providing they have finished showing their tractors at the local steam fair.

I hope you guys haven't spent too long polishing your Pandas (and Landrover) as I haven't had time you'll be putting me to shame! :) she'll get a good clean in the morning :D

Steam fair? :slayer: I really want a traction engine - I think I have room on the drive but then there's nowhere for a couple of cars  Yes I have considered it in passing!!! :yum:

Ha, mine's a working car, it's not going to be polished to drive over 200 miles of wet motorway, followed by some country lanes & tracks. I've even left the stumpy snow shovel in there - I got a couple of odd comments at Panda Camp, but you never know when you need to dig something out, bury something, or wallop someone over the head :D

You should see the old boys at the fair they drive up into town on an evening on their traction engines leaving a massive wide track of squashed pebbles along the road, have several beers in the local then drive back to the field leaving a very wobbly wide track along the road

I can't believe you are driving over 200 miles to come and see us that's just commitment right there is that
