My friend has his two citroens on foreign plates and he has them MOT'd every year. Also lights and speedo only have to be replaced on a car that is under a certain age. Maybe ten years but I can't be certain.......Cost my brother loads to get his german Opal Astra registered here cause it was only 12 mths old.

Over here it would be different.... I had a Mx5 from Oz once and the fog light was aftermarket and hung down from the rear bumper and the speedo was in KPH. Even thou the car was 15 years old and had a string of english MOT's the testers made me change both. The rules are the same in N.I as they are in England but It's really down to if the tester to use his common sense and ask him self is a fog light thats 6mm too low really a safety issue that may cause harm to road users?

Anyway, we've given up on the LHD and I'm looking at another panda to do Alan (the hubby) over the winter while the Barchetta is hiding from the bad weather

I paid £800 for mine, bought it over the phone, sight unseen..

Maybe a little expensive, but it's a lovely little car and has kept SWMBO happy ever since, so from that point of view it's been an absolute bargain..

Cheers,

Plug

Sorry...am i missing something??????
Its LHD..so i still wonder why buy a LHD to just drive in the UK????????

kev

Jim highlighted it, perhaps he was looking a vehicle to take over the exploring mantle from Sylvia :D

Let's face it, his car does spend a lot of time on the wrong side of the road :D - a LHD makes the ideal choice.
