Right, I've spoken to the seller, and am likely to be viewing the 4x4, and I'd like to make it fairly official that I have a price in my head that I'm hoping to get it for, or under.

The bloke seems reasonable, and the work needed isn't to bad. Hopefully the sills will put people off so I win

He's also got a 2 other 4x4's a C and a D reg, as he's a game keeper, so the Panda will be right at home if I win it and use it at my agricultural college :p

So fingers crossed :yum:

O, and if I do win it, dad's 1000CL will probably be up for sale, so watch this space (y)

Jon.

Hmmmmmm a 4x4 eh?

Went and had a second look at the "colour" and there is more to report....

Last time it was dark and raining (not ideal i know!!)

So.....
1) Both lower halves of the doors have been filled and sprayed cheaply, very poor colour match.
2) There has been an attempt to blend the paint into the front and rear wings. (prob with those areas???)
3) passenger sill about to let go and give up.
4) Drivers sill patched.
5) Now for the BIG ONE!!!!! the floor in the boot both sides.....LONG HOLES!!!!!!!

OUCH!!!! She said someone else had viewed the car and said the same as me.. I.E. BYE BYE.
She asked if she should mention this on ebay???? I said i would...so look out for a update on the page.

Kevin

For anyone interested....inc MEP!!!

I have checked the austrian site (with the help of my german pal!!)

Front bumper £18.00
Rear bumper £27.00
Front wing £13.00
Bonnet £75.00
Old style grille £13.00
New style grille £10.00
Bonnet arms £11.00

All items brand new!!!
Delivery very cheap considering.

Seems very good to me or am i being simple????

Might buy the bumpers to have as spares/smarten up purple haze as her front one is broken a bit and hanging down at the side.

Cheers all

Good luck with that Jon, would be good to keep it in Suffolk(y)

I think the Sisley in that lovely dark red colour with those wonderful off white wheels is the ultimate 4 x 4 Panda :worship:

Go for it!

Lol. I know if I'd won, and she hadn't mentioned it, I'd be ordering her to cover any money I'd spent going to collect the car, as I wouldn't bid!

Thanks (y)

As I say, planning on viewing, but dad said from what I said I had heard from the seller, that it's a future classic!

Only thing I want to know is what to look out for on it that's different to the 2x4's. Do the gearboxes commonly go don't they? What am I looking/listening out for

Thanks (y)

always wanted one..they look so cooooool(y)

Lol. Ditto, hence why I'm going for it. It's fairly close, and I have enough money to bid upto a fair bit because I've been working all summer :)

Also a wind-up for college. They all seemed to reacon I'd return with a 4x4 Panda this college year. Will annoy all the agricultural students in their Fourtrak's, and defenders, and point out that mine is a 3rd.

3rd if the price to buy (hopfully)
3rd of the price to run :p
3rd of the size, handy for parking in Norwich :D

"Think" I have a bumper for a Panda, can't remember if it's a front or rear if it's any good to anyone?

I've got a slightly re-arranged front bumper sitting in the back garden at the mo off of the Selecta

Did I ever mention on here that cheaky chav's from the end of the road knocked on the door wanting the bumpers off of the Donor Panda to be able to stick a fibre-glass body kit onto and shove onto their Saxo. So I pointed out the massive smack in the front of the Selecta, and I think they then got the hint :p

PLEASE READ......
I find it quite amusing how the first time 'purple haze' came to view my panda 'colour', she acted as if she new nothing about cars, all her comments were very positive "Oh it drives really well, the paintwork looks good and the number plate even matches my d.o.b [68] etc etc" She claimed she was really "excited" to come and view again with her boyfriend.
I was surprized to find out when I looked on this forum that 'kevin' was actually her ['heike'] who knew a lot about panda's and had written a whole report on it!
Of which I do not think is accurate.
I have had a mechanic to come and look at the panda [who does actually know a lot about cars].
Heike states "Passenger sill about to let go and give up"..er no definately not! Drivers sill has not been "patched"..' My roof is not "f**ked" it has wear but does not leak, the interior is "very tired" No, not by any means, the only thing I would mention is slight wear on the side of the drivers seat. The rubber floor is "strange" No, it's standard in good condition. And please take note the boot does not have "LONG HOLES" on both sides, just rust. [other people who came to view did not see this as much of a problem]
The rust in the boot is something that I would have mentioned on ebay, had I known about it, I have now updated the page with what I believe to be a genuine description. I am a 20 year old female and can't say I know a lot about cars! However I do know that people will have to take into consideration this is a 14 year old panda and is not going to be flawless!
It has MOT and Tax until May 09 and I believe my reserve of £420 to be fair, especially when I found out ' purple haze' went for £450! I have been as honest as possible and will be sad to see the car go. If any bidders are concerned about the boot please contact me for photos or any more info..But Please take note it does not have 'LONG HOLES' on both sides!
