:ROFLMAO: your joking right, paid £95 for it and expects £550 for it. Have they done anything to it to make it worth more

However I do know that people will have to take into consideration this is a 14 year old panda and is not going to be flawless!

Why not

P.s, thanks for the PM, I understand that you may not be please with another persons description, but everything is seen differently in different people eye's, and in regard to my post you quoted, I was purly saying what I would do if it was how 'Purple Haze' described.

O, and just like most the other members on this forum, I have a very enjoyable and lively life, and am by no mean's weird for being a member on this forum, and sharing invaluable knowledge with other members! alright Honey (y)

I will have to stand by what i say..ok it might be my view of things.. with out prejudice etc etc...and here is the but....i think the description i gave was right.
Remember I WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT THE FIAT FORUM!!!
Ergo i have nothing to hide. I knew this would be read!
I clearly stated the good points ( of which there are quite a few!) and the bad points not stated on ebay.
Information is everything and this is what this forum is all about.
You seemed like a reasonable person and understood what i was saying even to the point of the issue with the inside of the boot....which by your own admission someone else had a problem with...and believe me if i had started prodding with a screwdriver it would have gone straight through.
The good thing is very few people on ebay even know about this forum so your sale is secure.
As i said to you the people on this forum were looking at your sale with interest NOT TO BUY.
I was the only one "in the running"
I also remember saying to you should you have a problem because of the boot area that i would be willing to get it checked out cost wise!!!! At cost to me!!!!
I simply want these cars to live on and not end up on the scrap heap.
So to sum up stop worrying...sell your car...which i'm sure you will..and move on. As i said..its not what it seems and if you call sunroofs with duck tape running the full length ok....then in my opinion your wrong and it should be declaired as such.

I will now put my name to this.....Kevin

Re 750 Mania on Ebay

Hello MEP.
Not clear how much work has been done on the vehicle or if this work was done by the owner at cost or a garage at trade rates. Owner has put Tax and MOT on the car, so that possibly counts for £160+

Not clear if the owner has done work to the outside of the vehicle because the original listing had no pictures.

Will be interesting to see what price it does eventually go for.
Rgds, Petel

Re: Re 750 Mania on Ebay

I've got to ask since no one else seems like they are going to

Purple Haze are you a man or a woman? - or are you writing up on the forum as a couple? Because you sign all your posts / messages as Kevin?

I ask because of this

"I was surprized to find out when I looked on this forum that 'kevin' was actually her ['heike'] who knew a lot about panda's and had written a whole report on it!"

I find that a lot when buying old cars, especially on Ebay...
The owners have got used to all the faults and some how see them as character and pointing them out to them is somehow like telling them that their children are fat and ugly and probably don't know who their fathers are....

:(

That's why I fear ever selling any of ours on eBay. I mean if selling my Selecta I'd probably forget to say that the indicator cancels when indicating left but not right, because I've got used to these little things

An update on the 4x4 Panda on eBay front.

Just spoken to the seller again, and it's had over 1000 hit's and got 90 watchers (how many are forum members, lol.)

I might be viewing tomorrow night :) and he's even got someone coming down from  Buggar, can't remember where, but a long way away just to look

So we'll have to see. I might have some compitition. But been paid today, and have a bit more money to play with :D, and have the all important figure in my head, but think I might be having to up it (esspecially if I view it and fall in love )

A question for the 4x4 owners in the forum; what am I looking out for? What signs are there of the gearbox soon to give up  Please, help, as I don't want a dud ;)

Jon.

If you get to drive it you'll know by how it feels. They are much more aguralcutlal than the 2x4 cars (esp the ride on leaf springs and the live beam axel at the back)

but sloppy hard to getcrunchy gears, whinney transmissions and diff's, 4x4 that wont engage are all warning signs that it's been a bit of a hack.
