Does anyone know if a Panda which has the standard 4 speaker stereo has the wiring for the tweeters and sub already in place?

Thanks

Mook

I'd be surprised if they aren't there as most manufacturers seem to lay all the cables

That was my feeling. Read a thread about someone fitting tweeters and a sub to the standard head unit so figured the wiring might be there. I'm right in saying the tweeters are normally in the doors (I have tweeter shaped thingies)

The tweeters are in the door handles if that makes sense! Not sure what the sub wiring looks like ... I look tomorrow!

Pre canbus then quite possibly. Had that in the classic Pandas, but like I said, on most modern fiats wiring is only in place for common options, like rear parking sensors etc.

Having researched a bit it seems wiring on Pandas was done randomly anyway. Bluetooth mics, boot lights. Worth a look. Lol

If fitting tweeters in the doors, it should be a simple matter of piggybacking the wires from the main speakers below. This would work best with the main speakers replaced with some that do not respond to the higher frequencies, leaving that for the tweeter. That's how the original with tweeters works. Now it starts to get more expensive.

Decent main speakers will provide adequate sound. I had a Punto with a sub-woofer in the boot. This caused any luggage to resonate, especially supermarket carrier bags, meaning it was painful to listen to the radio with naything in the boot. The main speakers did not respond to lower frequencies, so with the woofer disconnected, sound quality was rubbish. Talk to a car radio specialist for advice.

Look good ... Maybe pop down to the ICE store just off Lower Hall Lane just before the Audi Dealer and see what they can do or you have the other one down the Mount by the Fish n Chip shop and see what they can offer?

I need to replace both mine with components now
