Here's what happened to me:
I was driving well inside the limits. It was dark, moist and I knew the road was slippery. I managed to do 15 miles of twisty road without breaking a sweat. Then there was this long straight...speed still the same...an animal jumped in front of my car and right back off the road. I subconsciously jerked with the steering wheel trying to avoid the hit and made my car drift sideways...I managed to fix it with steering into oposite direction. The moment it all happened, I drove over a bump which ejected my car slightly. Next thing I know, I was hanging on my seatbelt watching my butchered fingers and inhaling smoke...
It certainly was human error, I won't deny that. The thing is though, these kinda things happen when least expected. And please, what has power and speed got to do with it? How many accidents did you have in your life? You sound so sure of yourself not getting hurt out there on the road...honestly, its creepy. Public roads arent racing tracks.
As for your friend - as I said, of course, having all that assistance doesnt mean you can go out driving bulletproof. In certain situations though, it can be helpfull. And it wont make mistakes like humans do.
Best of luck to both of you...
