Greedy because they ramped the prices up when scrappage was introduced. This time last year pandas were often being advertised for arount £5 without scrappage. Still a good car for the money.

Lets face it, most people are "scrapping" cars that are "scrap".. I know mine was.. I wouldn't have got more than about £50 for it otherwise... (if I'd have got that much.. might have had to pay someone to take it away..)...

So its not greed... the car is worth the money.. I'm very impressed with mine....

I agree with Nicholas, the idea of scrappage was that there would be 2000 to come off the price of a car. A grand from the uk taxpayer and a grand from the manufacturer. Prices have been ramped up so that while the UK tax payers handed over their 1000 the manufacturers ended up putting in very little. Now there could be other reasons why the prices had to go up such as exchange rates but I think the manufacturers have done pretty well out of this.

I have to admit, I could've done a similar deal from Fiatsupasaver, but my Landy wasn't broken the way I thought it was, so I've taken advantage of the deal, and I pick up a yellow one next wednesday

Yellow........Oh well, each to his own ;)

Mine is Rock 'n roll blue [Dark Navy blue], i paid £5250 after scrappage of my Cinquecento that was starting to get 'tired'.
I think it was a good deal. I'm a bit miffed not to get remote locking but otherwise its well spec'ed
Did anyone take 'gap' insurance? I didn't, the logic being with a £2K deposit I'm hoping that it'll always be worth more than i owe on it.

You can get Gap insurance cheaper online gareth. Went past the other day but didn't see any blue Panda's. Hope the handover went well :) I bought Gap insurance from surf and protect who are underwritten by Axa.

Hi 306Maxi.
Do you know where I live then? :confused:The Panda will look black as you drive passed in some lights!
It was out all day on Thursday & is normally out @ school times.
As I said i'm hoping that I'll never need gap insurance
Cheers Gareth

No no :) I meant when I drove past Slaters! I wouldn't drive all that way to Barmouth to look at a Panda :p

LOL !!
When we got there it was reversed in between the Fiat & Scoda showrooms, but I've no idea when it arrived there from the wookshop, one thing that i've noticed, the PDI service isn't stamped in my book. I hope they did it!

Yes , handover went very well, Gary seems like a nice bloke, for a car sales man [do you think he reads this forum??

Gareth :)

Don't think they read the forum :) Both Mark and Gary seemed nice. I'd call and ask about the PDI stamp, sure it will have been done though :) Any pics?
