Styling Panda colours and colour names

[Purple Pandamonia]

Hi!
Well we have a Purple Panda (2009) - Or is it?
The VRD says it's RED, and I've seen others advertised in this colour as red. If so, it's the oddest red I've ever seen!!!
I have seen one in this colour where they called it 'Tribal Violet'.

So what is it called? And does anyone else have a car registered as a colour that bares no resemblance to what it looks like?

The colour code is stamped in the boot somewhere. I'd look that up then go online and see what that actual colour is, it may well be the same on older/different fiat cars.

Its not a Limited Edition 'Mamy' is it

There were some purple ones which weren't the Mamy version. The Mamy had the sliding rear seat option and some covers for the back of the front seats with pockets. And an extra mirror to keep an eye on your little darlings in the back. Lol.

The colour code is on the side of the boot door (passenger side) normally.

I spotted a Mamy today. I had forgotten about the orange vents.

On the label on the side of the hatchback, the name of the colour is written above the colour's code number, but in Italian. For example, mine shows colour code 199/A, and on the line above it says Rosso Tiziano, or Tiziano Red – see blurry (and upside down - sorry) photo...
