Steve, if you need to rust treat any more panda parts, i recommend something called Galvafroid (i think that how you spell it), as i have found that it kills the rust completely unlike kurust. Galvafroid is a primer and rust treater in one, so you can spray straight on top of it

Some more progress to report. I was working on the drivers door this afternoon and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out.

I decided to spray from the line in the door down in the hope that it wouldn't be as noticable if there were variations in the paint. So I masked of the section to be sprayed after it had been sanded down and prepared and applied red primer one coat at a time.

3 coats of primer were applied.

Once dry I applied the paint one coat at a time, working slowly and leaving plenty of time between coats. The result is paint that practically matches the rest of the car, see for yourself. Once it's cut down and the whole lot has been polished it should be very presentable.

A nice way to spend an afternoon.
