Just got to decide if we want the GAP insurance and the G3 stuff. Seems expensive for what it is, but we have many hedges and narrow lanes to drive down here.

I wouldn't bother with GAP through dealer, much better deals elsewhere, you wouldn't take out your main insurance policy now would you.

G3 stuff is normally very over priced for what it is, and often incorrectly applied by dealer monkeys also. Just get a decent tub of wax and stick a few layers on over the first day or two of ownership (y)

Well I think an update is in order. I was driving to work down the M6 this morning and a fiat transporter went past in the opposite direction with an orange 4x4 on it. No, it can't be mine I thought.

Emailed the dealer and they've just replied to say it has landed this morning.

So collecting on Friday hopefully.

:)

that's fantastic news

Thank you :)

I've driven to the dealers this evening (even though they are closed) to see it.

The orange isn't a strong in the flesh, it's almost a bit mustard in my opinion (not yellow though).

It does appear to have the correct options, even the city brake camera system behind the rear view mirror.

I forgot to look if it has the heated screen and I did add the space saver spare which I can't confirm is fitted until I collect on Friday.

Looks good though even if a bit less orange than I thought it would.

Sat outside the dealers are 500Ls which I personally think don't look as good as the panda 4x4s.

Hi philboo - is yours one with the split folding rear seat?

I'm hoping it won't be too long before someone mentions they've seen a blue Panda 4x4 heading out of Bristol docks bound for Hampshire...

anyhow, glad to hear its nearly with you (y)

I do have the 50:50 rear seat option fitted. No idea how the slide mechanism works it's not mentioned in the user manual on the fiat app.

It's taken 2 weeks to get my car from the docks to the dealer. They had two transporter deliveries last week they reported but mine didn't turn up until today. I'm sure yours will be quicker.

Thanks philboo - I'd be really interested to see pictures when you get it as it sounds as though your car is very similarly optioned to mine :)

Hi Philboo, the orange has really grown on me looking at your pics, at first I thought there was to much orange, as on my Cross I would have liked the orange because the plastic panels would have broken it up. But the orange really does suit the new Panda, good choice mate!(y)

Looking good Phil (y)

Not keen on the bonnet colour to be honest though.....;)

I think the bonnet 'special finish' is the cause of the delay ;)

I can joke about it now it has actually arrived but I was beginning to wonder when it would actually turn up.

Does look smart in Orange

Make sure they attach the rear number plate using the 4 point, and don't just drill 2 holes through the metal work with self tappers like they often do (n)

You are as fussy as me :) I emailed the dealer that evening after i'd seen it to say just that.

Unfortunately I won't be surprised if they ignore me but I was quite stern in my request about it.
