We don't really have enough lhd members on here to make an accurate assessment?

I think I've found a way to replicate my stop/start problem.
After collecting the car yesterday and them saying it was operating fine, low and behold get to a stopping situation this morning after about 20 miles of driving and the car will not restart on pressing of clutch. :bang:

Observation is I've had the heater on high directed to feet. Turned it to cold and let it cool and the stop/start works again. I reckon the clutch pedal sensor doesn't like getting warm?

You're right about the LHD numbers, but surely the fact that a RHD clutch pedal is right beside the heater outlets to the feet and a LHD clutch pedal is well away from the heater might be another indication that it's UK importa that have a particular problem.

Hi I'm new to the site. But would like any feedback on the order time for the new Panda 4x4. My wife ordered hers 29th Jan and was hoping to get it by Easter. The dealer says it is currently being shipped but no info yet on delivery date.
Since some car mag said it was their SUV car of the year there seems to have been some demand and delivery times are sliding back?:(

We were quoted 12 weeks which would be the end of April. It's actually going to be about 10 weeks, so no complaints here. (y)

What options are on yours? Someone thought the sliding seat had caused a small delay? Ours has met green paint, winter pack, parking sensors, leather wheel/stick, tinted glass, CBC, window airbags, height adj seat - clearly no delays on any of those.

Hi Palio
Only extra was the split folding seat.
The wife decided to go for the Sicilian orange with the pumpkin interior.
I think we need to chase the dealer again next week:rolleyes:

I think Phil's still waiting on his orange one - there was a rumour of a delay with that colour, but was never confirmed. Dealer should be able to update you - Perrys in Aylesbury have been fantastic, ringing Mum every week with a progress report - makes such a difference! (y)

Hopefully the delay in building my car will give FIAT time to improve their quality control!

I too am getting weekly updates (by email)

The latest news is no change - they are still hoping to have the car towards end of May.

We placed the order in early January so it will end up being c.20 weeks.

Mine is the one being held up by the split sliding folding rear seat option.

Btw - can anyone who has actually got their 4x4 confirm if the tyres fitted are full 'winter' tyres or the intermediate 'mud and snow' rating?

All the best

My orange 4x4 is in the country and registered when I check the DVLA website. My dealer is rubbish for updates.

I've the split sliding seat option but I ordered mid December and as of today the dealer hasn't called to arrange collection or say they have it on site.

The dealer has put a damper on the whole process I just hope that this fiat isn't going to be a big mistake in terms of reliability as my past two 500's and the current panda have all been brilliant.

I have to say though that the other forum members on here all getting/waiting for their car have all been great when I've been wanting info or just to know how their order is proceeding.

Phil

the tyres are continental cross contact winter. Proper winter tyres.
they get very good reviews .

That's a nice spec (y)

Think we may have ticked most options related to a 4-seat Panda, except the side air bags.

Given philboo has the special rear seats, I'm wondering if it's something else also affecting ours?

And deeyup - thanks for confirming re the tyres. What interests me here is that generally cars are fitted with 'regular' or 'm & s' as standard in the UK. Are there any other makes where the standard spec is 'winter'? The Mk3 4x4 came with m& s...

Good news it's here (y) Hope you get the car soon - when will the dealers learn??!! :bang:
Out of the blue we got a call to say its arrived. The wife has arrange to pick it up next Tuesday. So the delay was not as long as expected after all. Total time from order will have been just under 10 weeks.
Needless to say she is very happy.

Those winter tyres will wear incredibly quickly once the weather warms up, and will be a rotten drive too. Fine, fit all-weather m&s, as they're an acceptable compromise - we had them on our mk.2 4x4, and on a BX GTi 4x4 - but winter tyres are for the winter only!

Its here! :slayer:

Collected my 4x4 TA earlier today and I love it! Went for Black with the pumpkin interior which I reckon goes well together. Not had the chance to drive it much yet but will keep everyone updated with mpg figures etc.

Oh and I went for the winter pack with heated seats and they seem to be wired correctly which is a bonus!

A couple of quick pics, let me know if you want to see anything else!
