General panda 45 tailgate lock help (with pics)

Hi everyone, i have taken the tailgate lock off the panda 45 as it wont lock, and it looks like...

A: the tailgate is missing a screw/part of the bracket.
and
B: the previous owner of the panda has welded part of the lock back on and has done a crap job (lever on lock doesnt go anywhere near the catch)

Can anybody think of a solution?

Simple: replace it with the lock from the tailgate I gave you.

Ah, forgot the key though didn't we?

You can swap the barrel to keep your own key just remove the little pin and take it out. It's also the same as the MK2 so there are plenty of choices.

Rick could you send the key please, as the lock in the tailgate you gave me, doesnt have a pin (so cant remove the barrel)
