General Help needed need gearbox panda classic

Hi all
Please help as my gearbox is now unserviceable due to snapped bolt in driveshaft housing. Mechanic has now also snapped removal tool in there so deffo knackered it unfortunately. Anybody got a gearbox for a 1990 1000cc fire engine panda about?
Can travel to get it as I am desperate for one
Two years of restoration and just as about to go back on road this happens

I would have thought a good engineering works could sort out snapped extractor /bolt issue.
It all looks a little horrible around there, what happened originally?

That's just how it was

So no need to overhaul the gearbox, just working on driveshaft?
It may still be worth taking the gearbox to a specialist engineering works to advise/repair, especially if s/h gearbox in short supply.

It needed to come out due to engine swap.
One of the little 6 mm bolts snapped in the housing for the driveshaft you see.

Yes , I could see the snapped off bolt, if that is the only damage to the gearbox I don't see why a good engineering company cannot rectify it.

The snapped extractor adds to the difficulty because the extractor is as hard as drill bits.
There are companies that can spark erode the remains out and removed the snapped bolt.
Or find a good welder who can weld onto what is there and unscrew the bolt remains. The heat from welding will make the unscrewing much easier.

Oh forgot to add ....plug the open holes of gearbox with rags to stop debris getting in.

i had it happen on the cylinder head, the thermostat housing. i got it real hot with a map gas torch and a left turn drill bit. it soon came out with the heat. maybe worth a try.

other than that, i am pretty sure cinquecento gear boxes are the same.. you may have to swap the gear linkage controls over though as they are cable shifted gear boxes.

Now all I need to do is find where the choke cable goes through the bulkhead and I'm off !!
