Panda Panda 100HP project (cooperman style!)

Introduction

Right thought I would start a thread as there are a few mods happening to my panda and wanted somewhere to have them all in one place! I have owned my 100HP since 2010 and love it! She gets serviced at fiat evry year and had belts and water pump replaced last year. I wanted to start modding her but not go OTT as been there and done it before! Hopefully you guys like it!
So this is what I have done:

Really happy with the way the car is coming on! The rear end is looking nice and fat, will be looking at getting a silver rear fog light bulb to balance up the lights and looking at spacers the same as Demi has to fill the arches a bit more. All 4 tyres will be getting replaced also for Toyo T1R's as got some cheap front tyres put at the mo and had enough of them!! Lesson learnt!
Read the links I posted, the other links posted are to documents which pre-date the amendments in 2012 :)

So do you have something that is legislation that came in to force post 2012? As your articles are not fact, not UK government documents/articles.....

Sorry to labour the point here but I haven't seen any concrete evidence produced on this subject to say they are illegal

I get what you're saying, but the AA don't tend to post this sort of thing for fun. The .gov sites are about as user unfriendly as you get.

If it were still legal to have on your headlights then lamin-x would still be selling it here. Hell I'd have loved some on my high beams as I love the look.

The .GOV links are up to date so either the amendments never passed in to law or they were adopted by EU law and not UK law.

The AA is a private company that gives its opinion on motoring matters/law in this country and nothing more, in fact on most of the really important matters regarding motoring in the UK they seem to be largely ignored by the government.

The AA is a public company and listed on the stock exchange. I mention this only to divert the thread even further and be more pedantic than anyone else.

I wonder if you can still run the yellow covering on your classic Peugeot 604TI if you live in France? Tragic if you can't.

p.s. I still have my 1979 Peugeot Gran Tourer bicycle - it still has the yellow lamp bulb. I'm sort of worried I might get busted for this and I'm just too pretty to survive in chokey.

the troll is very wrong even a mot tester would not say anything also the window tinter near me put spi-film on my front and rear lights and also yellow on the fogs and non of this is illegal he will not fit vinyl or tints to any part of a car if its illegal or going to cause bad names to his company.

oh and btw nice panda

That's kind of what I was I was trying to say, they aren't connected officially to any government body.

What the window tint man does to your car is irrelevant, its your responsibility once its back on a public road.

Ok let's draw a line under this as we are already on 2 pages of who's right and realistically anyone ready the thread regarding my car would of got bored by now as I have.

FWIW I think the yellow looks awesome with the blue :)

If I may offer conclusive evidence that yellow film on your headlamps is NOT illegal.

The current MOT manual does NOT present any Reason for Rejection regarding headlamps that relates to the application of any colour changing devices. The only stipulation regarding headlamp colour is that it much be substantially white OR yellow.

gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/429032/mot-inspection-manual-classes-3-4-5-7-vehicles.pdf

1.7 Headlamps - Section 5 - Reason for Rejection
(b) an obligatory headlamp shows a colour that is not substantially white or yellow

The 'harmonised' MOT EU Directive never got past consultancy stages and is not incorporated in the EU Law.

As for Lamin-X products, they are still available in the UK via distributors.
