The Panda 100hp was subject to an article by Hagerty in 2024 about being a future classic, and the najority of motor magazines praised its essence of being a brisk micro hatchback with old school NA engine, 6 speeds, low weight, fixed lowered suspension, and 5 door practicality.
My example was bought new in 2010 and covered about 7k miles from new and 3 years ago I was trying to get an agreed value insurance cover since market value for the cars used glass guide and "assumes" mileage per year according to the insurers I spoke to and said cars in a writeoff would get 2.5k sterling give or take which was quite different to the between £7-£8k prices being asked I remember at the time on autotrader for cars on 2nd or 3rd owner but with purported "low" mileage of 20000-3000 miles by dealers.
I did manage to secure an agreed value cover with Hagerty for my car at the correct value 3 years ago and it also fed into a small discount on the other car I maintain/keep which is a classic Alfa but since then other classic car insurers are quite dismissive of the Panda 100hp as a classic car and I was wondering about other members experience with insurance and if there was a Panda 100hp expert at the forum since it seems impossible to contact the facebook clubs
