OT The 3 network and swapping my fone!

I have a nokia brick 7600 on 3, want to buy my brothers phone , the new 3g samsung clam one but the sim doesnt work in it. Dont think the fone is locked as an orange sim works in the o2 phone? is there way around this or am i tied to my brick?? all help appreciated

3 are notorious for locking their phones to SIM cards. I have heard that they can unlock them but at a price (Somewhere around the £25 mark I think).

I have two 3 handsets knocking around (Moto A835 and NEC e616v) which are useless without the 3 Sims they came with

I know when i was on the 3 network i could only swap my sim over to another 3 phone. And u couldnt unlock any phone to accept the 3 sim card, that was a year ago tho.

so i wont be ble to getthe samsung 800 someting or other to work wit my 3 sim?? boo!

Dont hold me to it, but i know when i had mine you couldnt. But hey times change may be worth while taking it to a phone doctor and asking.
