OT-PC help

Need some help, my work pc got infected by Backdoor Bifrose trojan and I just cant get it off. Tried a few apps to get rid of it, but no success.

Can anyone suggest what to use against the bugger ????
Ad Aware finds it in my registry but I cant delete it.

Sven, I tried the programme out of curiosity. After the scan, it requires you to register and pay!

Have the app installed and cant find it . System restore is a no-go, it wasn't turned on when before I got the trojan, and I didnt have the admin password before a few days .....

any other suggestions

what are the symptoms?? what affects is the virus having on yours system? how did you get the virus in the first place.

Sven, I know that Norton can be a bit pervasive and try to take over systems on your PC. If you haven't set it up yet try this one. I've used it myself for about 5 years and have never had a problem. It's free and gets updated daily.

When you tried Norton, did you have it set to scan ALL files, did you do it in Safe Mode and did you edit the registry? According to Symantec, the removal should be relatively easy.

Did a full scan in safe mode, didnt find the files in registry .... but Ad-avare still shows it and its in the startup items every time I turn the pc on.....

Will report when I try AVG
