*OT* Nuisance Calls help

After a little bit of help.

a friend of mine is recieving very regular nuisance calls and texts from an old aquantense which is distressing her and upsetting her.
Just want to know if theres anything I can do to help, She is on O2 and this is all the info I have found on the matter:

Not really what I was after, I'm more after the possibilty of having the number blocked so it can't get through anymore.
Any body know anything on the subject?

-Get her number changed.
-Give the guy a visit.
-Contact Police with all texts on phone. (only if abusive and threatening.

I myself offered to use the 2nd option but she wasnt too impressed.
just wanted to know if theres an easy option, just want the nonse to stop.

u can call ur network provider and get the numbers barred.

also every time u get a hassled call.. with vodafone u have to ring them up and it gets logged. after the 6th offence this list is then given to ur local police station and u have to go down and look at the list and try to confirm some numbers. doesnt even matter if hes withheld as its still on there..

going round not gonna achieve u anything

anon, i would suggest if your friend wants an easy option, then she just change her number. easiest, and quite effective, as she can restrict who she gives her number to...
