OT (ish) tow bar electrics

again this is not fiat related but is car/van related.

I fitted a 2nd hand towbar to my van yesterday but i am struggling to find a plug and play wiring kit, now my question is this.
I know what the wires on the towabar are for can i just splice into the loom for the lights etc on my van, assuming i can figure out what they all do

i had a towbar on an old escort i bought,took it off an sold on.The wires were like as you said.Just wirerd in to the loom

after a little bit of messing around i worked out which wire did which and connected them all up and hey presto it worked!!
