My mum just came in and gave me a surround sound speaker system that her friend gave her.
its pretty basic with only red/white inputs (no digital input)
what I want to do is split the incoming input (red white) into a 5.1 signal so that I get full use of all the speakers, as I currently only get 2 speakers and the sub.

If anyone can suggest anything that would be great.

or better still, is there such a cable that will have a digital output on one end (the part that will plug into the xbox 360) and 5.1 inputs at the other?

please advise!

Cheers,

Dan

I know what you mean Dan though I dont have a 5.1 system myself, Im sure you'll need some sort of control unit to get real 5.1 surround sound, I dont think it can be done just using normal speakers and wiring.

The control unit must do some processing of the signal to make it surround sound

You could try and daisy chain the speakers, so in effect it will be surround sound but only because the speakers are surrounding you!:)

But they will all be the same volume and perspective etc
