Everything ive changed on my car, gaskets etc have been proper fiat parts.

Im now in need of a new outbound CV joint and rear wheel bearing. Fiat prices are £88 for the CV joint and £42 for the bearing.

Local motorfactors prices are £42 for the CV joint and £30 for the bearing. I can't beleive how much cheaper they are, theres not going to anything wrong with non-fiat parts either is there?

Cheers

Shouldn't be, try to find the name of the manufacturer and maybe check they're reputation via the web.

Probably not the case with Fiat but Halfruads ran an ad campaign a few years back where they illustrated 2 starter motors "made by John in the same factory" one in a Rover box for £150 and the other in a halfruads box for £100 but they were exactly the same.

I was going to mention the Halfords campiegn, but I think that there is a reason they stopped showing that! Non-oem parts should be OK.
