Just caught the end of the report, had a few cars on to show how you could press the footwell carpet to operate the brakes where the LHD version pedal would be. It takes away vehicle control from the driver...

Strange, would have thought all components would be operational on one side only?!

All the cars theyve shown are FRENCH....Renault Scenic/megane, Peugeot 206, Citroen C3

Just came in here to see if anyone had posted about it. It would 'appear' that the cars are made as standard for all countries, with fittings for pedals on BOTH sides and then capped off / fitted when its decided which country the car is destined to be sold. I had no idea so learned something new there. Did strike me as odd that they all happen to be french though...

Watchdog have made it a problem now....I wonder how many Citroen passengers have actually done it by accidentally sticking their foot up under the dash and pressing....

never did it in our saxo, or our 306. did it in the stilo, but not the bravo. thing was, we wasnt trying to get it to do it when it happened in the stilo, my mate caught it by accident. luckilly i quickly worked out what had happened as i had been under there before stopping something clunking when turning thats to do with transferring the pedal motion from the drivers pedal to that side of the car

Whoops!. Do the mk2 punto's suffer from this?

no servo is on proper side
