Hi!

@OCZedd: I'm from the city of Timisoara, Romania.

I got the 4 door Active model. Front electric windows only but no "one touch" whatsoever.

@mehstg: Then I believe that one trip to a FIAT dealer is the final solution. They are able to issue a CAN command that'll instruct the window lifter to start a full re-norm.

Could it be that you unplugged the window lifter multi-plug before the "after-run" phase expired? (after-run = after switching off the ignition and taking the key out, some ECUs in the car don't switch immediately to low power mode (sleep mode) - they wait a (pre-set) while before doing that).

If you would do the unplugging before the "after-run" expires, the window lifter ECU would not save its present status in its own EEPROM memory and the next time it will be powered on, it will see that no last saved status info exists and will conclude that this is the first time it is powered on. And it will await a full re-norm. (not only the zero positon, but also the information about the window frame characteristics).

Sadly, the manual only details the procedure of re-norming the zero position. For re-obtaining the frame characteristics, you need either a full re-norm via CAN bus or you need to know the "secret" button combination of doing it. Sadly, FIAT looks like it doesn't want us to know that button combination. But there always exists one.

All in all, take it to a FIAT garage where they can re-norm it for you. Won't take more than 5 mins.

Just a quick update for all you lot who have tried to help me after I broke my one0touch windows...lol

Took the door card off again this morning...unplugged multiplug. Plugged it back in, and hey presto, one touch windows again...well drivers side (cheap ba*tards at Fiat!! lol)

Cheers again for the help.

@mehstg: Yay! I'm glad you sort it out! Sometimes an unplug-and-plug-it-back-again session is better then 100 seasoned engineers! :)
