If your gonna put a tunit box on then you might aswell get it mapped by someone that doesnt use a rolling road.

Thats cos they got no Red Dot Racing!
Big advantage of a Tunit is u can take it off and put it on another car when u swap. Downside, and I'm no expert but from the Forum here the tuning boxes can cause problems with the fuel rail and rarely get properly set up so are smokey...

I have had a good look and generally people dont like boxes on fiat forums. people talk about fuel rails exploding and all sorts, dont want that for my new car!! yeah i saw the price its totally WTF, basically if there was a remap place near me i would do that but there isnt. My firends DTUK box was £245 and seems to work amazing. Just dont know what to do. Box or drive 800miles for a remap

There will be places. You not got any local cruise/ car forums to join and ask as they will be the best people to direct you to local remap places.

Do a Google search for a local mobile re-mapper by you then but I would go to Red Dot. Personal choice, plus Red Dot do after sales service (but your still a long way away!)

Stay away from Tuning boxes, yes they DO increase power. Although no where near to the extent they claim. It is also a primative way as well and won't change all the settings within the ECU that a remap will. As said if your going to go for that you may as well go for a certain mobile remapping company that has had lots of criticism on here.

So Do i need to go to a remapper with a rolling road or any that seems reputable? Because i dont think there is a remapper with a rolling road in scotland. I really dont want to drive 800 miles and spend a weekend to do this.

Theres got to be a remapper in scotland with a rolling road you just need to search around, yellow pages etc ring round a few.

I know its that forum is for Mitsubishi Lancers but they all go to 'Extreme Motosports' which is in 'Whitburn' scotland (where ever the hell that is!). They must know there stuff as they take their lancers there on RR days. They also do advanced 4WD tracking and tweaking (not needed on your GP

Remapping a diesel turbo engine ECU will produce 30 - 50% BHP and 30 - 35% torque depending on exact specification, diesel engines give the most impressive power and torque gains available. Extra power is gained through out the entire rev range and under all load conditions, the turning force gained from these engines is immense. This really is the best way of changing your car without having to change your car. Just seeing customers faces after tuning these engines really makes the job worth while.
Gotta be worth a call and see what they will do specifically for your requirements and of course, what it costs.
