Well, having checked out the Wife's (I'd better be very careful how I word this!) dipstick today, no, that doesn't sound right at all, does it!
Anyway, thought I'd just top up the oil level a bit since its service last February. Realised I didn't actually have any Selenia anyway, so I gave my local Alfa specialist (workshop a mere 500 yards or so from my house) a ring this avo with the intention of buying a litre, to which he responded, 'Bring it round mate' (the car, not the Wife!). Took the car round, he drove it into his very smart workshop (unsurprisingly full of Alfa's) and proceeded to check the oil level and subsequently, he popped in half a litre of the proper stuff to top up before I even had time to utter the words "Ah...how much mate?" Response - "Nowt - only used half a litre, have it on me!"
So, it just goes to show, there are still some excellent folk out there who don't mind doing people a favour occasionally. Quoted me 100 quid + vat for 2nd year service when it's due in February, so me thinks I'll save myself the 40 mile round trip that I did to Stoneacre the last time and let him do it instead.
