Can somebody please tell me what size and make the tyres are on a Panda fitted with the 14" alloy wheel option from the factory. And also will a full sized 14" steel spare fit in the wheel well ok?

Despite what I said on a previous post I still wouldnt mind some alloys for my Active. I really like the proper Fiat alloys on the accesories site although they are very expensive. According to Fiat they require 165/65 14 tyres so I should imagine thats whats fitted as OE. I will also need to buy a full sized or space spaver spare as well. I have had a look around online and cant find any second hand spares at the moment. Once thats all done I just need to get rid of my original steels and caps and the only place I can think of is the scrap yard.

I dont think that many people will want 5 x 13" steels and caps. I should imagine that somebody would want just 1 to replace a space saver. However as I said have the room to keep them while they sell. What I should have done is ordered the alloys with the car as accesories. The cost would then have been spread within the payments.

ive got lancia delta alloys on my car. they are 14" with 185/60/14 tyres

they fit perfectly without spacers or anything

the alloys i would want from fiat either come from the panda cross which are the 15" or the 5 spoke 14" availble on the website or some off a multipla which is near my house

Ive decided to go with some Wolfrace alloys. I have dealt with Wolfrace before and they are a fantastic company. I will getting a set of black 14's with 165/65 tyres because thats what I think Fiat fit on their 14" alloys.

I am sure there are plenty of people on here who have alloys fitted by Fiat from the factory. All I need to know is if the 165/65 size is what they fit as OE.

i went for a 60 profile because it keeps the overall size of the tyre the same as the 13"steelies

a 60 or 65 is the best profile to go for as both are really close and you wont notice any difference

the 60 is the closest to the current profile though but i think fiat fit 65

Personally I'd have gone with the 65's as it's one less reason for your insurance to weasel out of paying a claim.

I will disclose everything to my insurance company.
Yes but there's a difference between putting like for like modifications on the car or ones as dictated in the handbook. I bought some alloy ARB droplinks for the wifes car on Ebay yesterday and whilst it's alloy rather than plastic it's exactly like for like in terms of size and shape.

Well I know what you mean about insurance companies. They will try everything just not to pay out. Apart from a set of alloys and tyres and maybe some window tinting I am not changing anything else from OE. I will make sure I tell them about every change and make sure I also get it in writing.

I don't think you get what I mean, there's a difference in the eyes of the insurers when for instance you replace a 13" rim and tyre option with a 14" rim and choose a size of tyre which is NOT listed in the handbook.

Oh right I get what you mean. But isnt there really a difference between a car running on steels and then on alloys? What I mean is wouldnt the insurance company see the car as being more desireable with alloys on it so therefore more chances of it being stolen?

Of course and for that reason your premium will usually increase, but they can't apportion any blame to the fact that you've got alloys as they're an OE option. Wrong profile tyres aren't.

Interesting point. What if somebody had bought a Dynamic and ticked the alloys options box. They would just insure the Panda as normal and might not tell them about the alloys. After all they did come with the car so it wasnt changed by the owner.

Anyway I take it then that 165/65 is the standard size tyre that Fiat fit on 14's?

All I need to know now is what brand they use (not that important but I would like to know) and if a full sized 14 will fit in the spare wheel well.
