General Odd problem with blower fan??

OK, everything was working last night, come to use the car this morning, car started , put interior fan on.... nothing.
Also noticed the outside temp display on dash was not showing, just a blank space on dash?
When turned aircon on, nothing happened, but orange lamp was flashing?
Have checked fuse 5, (interior fan) and all OK, even swapped for a spare, still no joy.
Strange that it went overnight? Not able to find any other fuses relevant to heater or fan. Seems strange that outside temp display has disappeared as well??
Initial thoughts are possible outside temp module has gone down?
Anyone had anything similar, and have any ideas?
So annoying, as multi just passed MOT a week ago, with only a couple of advises. (tyre and the perennial 'oil leak' )

Cheers MM, checked out that post, and have now sorted out the problem, having spent a couple of hours following the steps given in the post.
Problem solved, it was a corroded terminal in the connector, so have now cut/spliced them all together, and discarded the original plug/socket.
Heated and air conditioned again..
