I'm also liking Microsoft's version at http://maps.live.com/ which also features Birds Eye views. I can clearly see my Seicento & Mondeo outside my old house in Norwich !
Sadly, Birds Eye views are not available everywhere
Not only is there water up there but a very precious element (Helium3) that could solve earth energy problems for hundreds of years - just don't let those crazy Russians get there first...come to think of it, the Yanks are a bit mad at the moment too
We can't do that much mining lol, that would take millenia.
I was thinking that they never explained how they're gonna get this stuff back to Earth - and most importantly - through the atmosphere safely. If this stuff is so powerful imagine the damage a tankful of this gear would cause if the container failed.
I do think moon exploration is important as a springboard to moving out into the solar system - it's all ultimately pointless however as eventually all the stars will die and all the universes' energy will be dispersed so thinly that nowt will be able to survive. Sad thought really
