Genius...but have you seen this?

1. go to www.google.com
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
6. scroll down to step #23

Try this one on either Google Maps or Google Earth...

Search for the following location...

Haweswater, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE29, United Kingdom

Then turn the Hybrid or Satellite layers on and zoom in....

why does it direct you to France on the way from New York to London?

probably because after swimming 3462 miles you may want a bit of a rest ;)

I'm also liking Microsoft's version at http://maps.live.com/ which also features Birds Eye views. I can clearly see my Seicento & Mondeo outside my old house in Norwich !

Sadly, Birds Eye views are not available everywhere :(

I heard it waz made of Water. BECAUSE when they collected moondust and heated it up to 800 degrees celcius it turned to water.

Did you watch Horizon the other night too???

Not only is there water up there but a very precious element (Helium3) that could solve earth energy problems for hundreds of years - just don't let those crazy Russians get there first...come to think of it, the Yanks are a bit mad at the moment too :)

ye i did watch it lol. i think its a load of poo to be honest. i hope china get there tho lol.

if we go there the moon will decrease in size and the earths tides will fuk up lol, even more human influences on the earth then.

We can't do that much mining lol, that would take millenia.

I was thinking that they never explained how they're gonna get this stuff back to Earth - and most importantly - through the atmosphere safely. If this stuff is so powerful imagine the damage a tankful of this gear would cause if the container failed.

I do think moon exploration is important as a springboard to moving out into the solar system - it's all ultimately pointless however as eventually all the stars will die and all the universes' energy will be dispersed so thinly that nowt will be able to survive. Sad thought really :(
