Hi All, pretty simple as title says I cant get any MW or LW reception in my 2006 Panda. Dealer installed a sony hu which didnt get any reception and I have just replaced it with an alpine - still no mw or lw. FM reception is superb. Any ideas?

Just had a thought, is it possible that the original HU had an aerial amp built in for these bands?

Ok, just in case anyone is interested the Panda DOES have an amplified aerial and so if you change the head unit you need a signal splitter so the aerial gets a power feed. FM reception is much improved with this as well as gaining MW/LW. The part i used was autoleads pc5-52 but i believe celsus also do one. Got mine on ebay for a fiver, halfrauds want 15 quid!
