no knocks in the summer

I've got a 2000 Marea 100 sx weekend. I used to suffer from a knocking noise , under the driver, that sounded like the exhaust. This has been posted before, by others, but now its fixed!
Until the weather gets cooler again. When the daily temp drops below 15 degC , it comes back again.
Any ideas?
