Driving along today after several trips today, press the bake pedal starts braking then flat to the floor! Haven't got recovery but only 2 miles from home was an interesting trip back but light traffic and good hand brake.
Only just noticed the cover is missing (after fiat did the cam belt) anyone know where I can get a new one? Failure is obvious in the picture

The extra rubber sleeve over crimp of brake hose is a bad idea by hose manufactures and has been seen before - scary. Very glad you are ok.

I'd swear there was a panel covering the end of the engine you can see the fixing points in the pic ? Anyone can you look on Eper? If there's a cover?
The bleed valve moves the flexi to caliper also, my issue will be the brake pipe to flexi, have doused in plus gas, my thought is flare spanner on pipe( arriving by Amazon tomorrow, typically have only even sizes) and impact socket on remaining part with impact driver, already have new flexi, clips, bleed valves etc, oh and pray, also have glove over reservoir under cap to stop it dumping all the fluid out of the open pipe.

Glad you're ok

I had 2 new tyres and not long after found myself slipping half a lane on the motorway. It was very unnerving. The new tyres were overinflated. One to 36 and the other to 40 psi. They should both be 28.
