as for the poor bloke, i don't think anyone could even begin to imagine what it could be like to be trapped in your own body like that for 23 years

i saw a programme a while back where they got the patient to imagine a certain thing whilst in a brain scanner thingy and compared that to the brain activity of a conscious person, as said thought if he's thought to be in a coma they wouldn't bother
