TBH I reckon you would get more interest and have more fun doing a trip accross Europe to Russia, after all flying accross to the USA is a bit dull and who likes the Yanks anyhow?

Awwah.... I think we've got another long suffering panda widow here! (Him and Alan could swap notes... I went to Nor Kapp in the Saab last year.
Tromso is really nice (like much of Norway/Sweden) but you have to go to the Loftoen Islands as there very funky and cool and it never gets dark!
