I was half expecting to see the red sisley in that pic... hope he's still got it...

It's on his 'restoration' list!

Mmm... Dave, was thinking of going on the 'Trans American Fiat' Stand but couldn't find anyone that has a Fiat that they've driven across the states in to share it with so I'll suppose I'll just have to lower myself and join the FF stand:p

hehe

Oh and Jim, we're not thrashing Sylvia round the test track before you go getting ideas, she's been through enough this year. OK !

Mmm... I was thinking of the Club GTI track day this year for a hoot!

Show them polo boys a thing or two! And if you actaully read any of the treads on here you'd know Alan is off in Italy... tut tut. Go put the big pointy hat on and stand in the corner!

Oh and Christopher, If I see you there I'll eat my tires!!!:p

Well if you read the threads properly you'll see that Alan is home the day before Gaydon but isn't going because he doesnt want a divorce on his hands. :p

I know that most of this is AutoItalia but it was really Sylvia's home comming party so I'll put it in here as it sort of give the American Trip some closure... And strangely it's also about 1 year since Sylvia came home from Africa too!

Well... that's it!

I flew to Liverpool and Neil came down to pick me up and drive back up to the little market town of Clithero in Lancaster where I got re-united with Sylvia for the first time since Sam Germana had helped me drop her off Port Elizabeth in New Jersey over a month ago!

But we didn't go far that night in Sylvia as Stuart of the Northern Ireland Italian Motor Club had come with me and the 3 of us headed out on a pub crawl round Clithero's bars to insure that we'd a fine hang over for the next morning's run to Warwickshire for AutoItalia:D

But if all had to come to an end and we'd to head north up the motorway to Scotland and get the Ferry back to Belfast which took us to the wee small hours of the morning...

So this morning it was back to reality with a bang for our wee panda as she's back to tackling the morning commute to the train station than having to deal with Beverly Hills traffic! lol

An Epic journey Jim and all kidding aside I think all of the Panda section have a soft spot for little Sylvia and having just completed a 3500 mile trip in a huge euro cruiser and the odd 800 hundered mile trip in the Sisley take my hat off and bow with a little bit of Pride in what you have accomplished.

Well Done to you and Sylvia, Media whore or not you both deserve that little bit of attention & recognition :worship:

Now that's over I now await a good oppertunity to take the pi** :D I'm sure it won't be long :p

More is due to that little panda... In 12 months she's coved 26000 miles across the world in the most difficult conditons and even thou there where problems we always 'Got her home Alive'. Honestly when I drive her I really feel that I can take on the world... Cause we have already done half of it!:D

Good job we've started planning the next one now!

Jim

(BTW, has anyone noticed that in TG mag they are covering what's in the new series of TG and one the boys adventures was to go to america this summer and buy some old cars and drive them huge distances? Mmmm... I can't really complain as I'm copying the 'floating panda' off them:D )

What's more incredible is you took on the USA fault-free after those fuelling problems you brought back from Morocco. Anyway Jim, glas to see Sylvia home safe after all those miles, she really is doing pretty remarkable stuff and she was easily the most interesting car at AutoItalia on Sunday.

BTW Stuart did NIIMC get those millions of hits predicted after the plug on Sunday?

Here's all the photos of Sylvia from Sunday to add to your collection, btw.

The fancy fuel regulator just went pop letting petrol flow all over the alternator!

At least she'd the decency to wait till I got home!!!!

Jim

Again, when these things happen there's always something weird going on in the background!

Ten years ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

Quite...
