I wasn't going to do a big link like the NIIMC or the CPW one as they're big sponsors of the car but add it to the little gray boxes on the left and just mark it Forum and then it will take you to the panda section of here.

I think it's a really subtle way of doing it without covering the site in Ad's

The link on the map section of the Panda2America site is .com instead of .net.

Other than that it's great (y). Well done. :D

You do know that your starting to sound like Q from the Bond films??

Q - " 007, do you think you'll require collision damage insurance?"

Bond - " Probably "

Q - " Fire? "

Bond - " Definitely "

Q - " Personal injury? "

Bond - " Hope not.... "

Q - " You will do Bond if you don't bring that car back in one piece.... "

Congrats Jim, your hard work has paid off!! :slayer:

Just don't crash the car over there... if it's that much trouble to insure it in the first place, you'll be filling out forms until the end of the universe if you have an accident!

Cheers,

Plug

How today went....

Well I put new oil in (and also all over my dad's drive again:eek: But Daz is the soap that you can believe in, Really!) and filter. Put some Moyslip in the box. I don't really think it does anything much but it just makes me feel better that I've done it.

Then back to my house and we pulled out the front seat for make-over Mk2 I'd re-built the seat once already with bits from my 4x4 but it was my first go and I could of done better. After rebuilding the 750 seats I knew I could make a better job of it.

A rather empty looking Sylvia...

That's the fabric off and I got some sofa supports (plastic covered in fabric) to put in the backrest to make it feel a little more supportive.

Don't know what happened to that photo but it was alright when I saved it! I put a thin layer of high density foam over the existing backrest. Height of laziness as new foam is available from the fiat dealer for 12 quid plus vat but I didn't have 3 day so I went with the Mcguyver option. Rap the seat in cling film and spray on some furniture polish and the old cover will slip over no probs. Then put your hand up inside and rip the cling film away.

Usual scene of destruction when I'm working on cars!

The roof rack mounting screws where missing so I got the 2 off the spares car. I wonder where the old ones went too??? (ie, at some point when Steve and Stu where arguing over that bloody sisley rack somebody lost them!)

Finally found that really annoying rattle from the boot, the washer pipe and cables where loose so some cable ties and some spare foam from the front seat saved the day (and my marbles from listening to that rattle the whole way to San Francisco....)

All re-assembled and one test drive later I'm well happy!

I'm ignoring you and watson now:p

Oh BTW, forgot to say that I've now got front seats of Mercedes Benz firmness and comfort!
they could be better in the Merc we have... look like they were modelled using Duplo bricks
