I think he means in 60miles the car used 6.4 litres of petrol which i think is just under 1.5 gallons which works out that the car used 1 gallon of petrol to every 40 miles give or take a bit.

its about 36mpg which i think is pretty much for a diesel
also from the moment you drive over 60mph it gets 30.5mpg
for everthing else, i like the looks of the car and the handling,
also the city button is a very good thing for parking
btw the abarth lights are gorgeous.

Thanks old school - I did check and the mpg is 45 urban, 80 extra urban and 62 combined or something.

They are! I told my dad earlier and I think he nearly had a heart attack.. I promised I would save up properly for them and not just blow my student loans on them...

*seriously off topic*

Just an update - going to see the GP tomorrow at Simonstone but my Dad wants to know if GP's are popular cars when they're sold used?

I hasten to add I won't be getting a car until after 25th July AND only then if I pass my test.. could be ages yet!!!:bang:

Cool cool, he even suggested looking at the 09 plates.. I nearly fell over with shock! He gets quite anal about these things but I guess I can't complain!!:woot:

Matt & Aircooled - ta for that.. I dunno what my budget is like but I'll let you know how it goes.. I even phoned up and as long as I bring my L plates I can test drive...!(y)

I think once exams are over I really will have GP verbal diarrhoea:cool:

I uh, have never felt so degraded... thanks Tris..;)

I'm jumping on band wagon now - Emily if you want to stop by in Plymouth before you head to cornwall I will show you the local Jap scene prior to you buying your GP haha - see if I can sway you towards the micra some more ;)

And for the record I like the angel eyes on the GP!!
